Harmony Thyme’s The Enlightenment Show
Everyone is a long story, here’s a bit of mine as a biography.
I’m a multi media artist living in Pimlico since 1995. Doing Radio suits me, I have the face for it. I want to talk to the World and encourage everyone to be their own unique self, everyone else is taken. Listen to me I’m big sister and i’ve been around the block several times.
Music has formed the backdrop to my life from clubbing with my 3 sisters up North in the 1970, thru hosting Karaoke shows to doing my show on Radio Free Pimlico. My first boyfriend was in a rock guitarist and singer so at 15 I was in the van driving to gigs at Retford Porter House or going to see Iron Maiden in Grimsby, I fell asleep at that one though, I was tired.
I did wardrobe and makeup for Status Quo on their Ain’t Complaining World Tour of 1988/9. That was fun, flying over borders then travelling to gigs in our private tour bus. One time coming through the corridor from East to West Berlin i was detained for having a bag of white powder in my tour bag…….turned out it was washing powder.
I drove in convoy with the Techno Sound Systems – Spiral Tribe, and Desert Storm putting on Parties in fields and on Wastelands in Europe. Here I started to perform poetry and learnt to juggle and spin fire, I had a lot of time on my hands.
I was co-creator of a performance troupe called The Prangsta’s and later came the Sheela Show…we performed at venues in London and at UK festivals. Later i span off and became a solo performer called as The Spinning Spinstar for a while and had my own range of clothing made from Up-Clycled pinstripe clothing.
I’ve been practising Kundalini Yoga since 1999 which gave me a total Brain Wash and Detox which was very needed after all that Rocking all over the World. This was a healing time for me listening to devotional music and practising chanting which is deep.
I named and co created a local vintage shop in Pimlico with the late Judy Garde called Retro- mania. I’ve worked as a Karaoke host and as an Usher at Mamma Mia…..Oh yeah & i studied Fine Art at UAL as a mature student!
I ride a bike around Pimlico.
Looking forward to cascading into your living rooms soon. love
Harmony
